Welcome

Who We Are

We are a congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC). Our members come from many different backgrounds, including, Roman Catholic, Lutheran, Baptist, Charismatic and various other Evangelical churches.

The OPC denomination holds ecclesiastical fellowship with such other protestant churches as: The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), the Canadian and American Reformed Churches, the Free Church of Scotland, the United Reformed Churches in North America (URCNA), the Reformed Church in the United States (RCUS) and the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America (RPCNA).

Beliefs

We hold to a reformed understanding of the Christian faith. We hold the Bible to be God's word, and the infallible rule of faith and practice. Our own standards are summed up in the Westminster Standards, which include the Westminster Larger and Shorter Catechisms and the Westminster Confession of Faith. Other standards which also deal with the Reformed Faith are: The Heidelberg Catechism, The Belgic Confession and the Canons of Dordt.

We stand in the historic traditions of such men as Martin Luther, John Calvin and John Knox.  Current preachers of this historic faith include men like R.C. Sproul, Michael Horton, Sinclair Ferguson, and Joel Beeke, among others.

Worship

In worship we hold to the Regulative Principle of Worship, which states that only what God has commanded is lawful to be done in the worship service. Our service is made up primarily of hymns/psalms, prayers and reading and exposition of the Word of God. As opposed to much contemporary worship, our services are very simple, and not entertainment driven. We also believe that the whole family should be in the worship service together, so we do not have any separate children's church.

Messages

Our sermons are generally expositions of the Scriptures, but because we go through the Scriptures, many current topics are dealt with including: the doctrines of grace, the five solas of the Reformation, living a godly life, the fruits of the Spirit, and other biblical themes.
